Late night post-exhibition dinner are the best! Everyone chatty and opinionated! Is Donburi was the perfect quick stop for some filling and warming meals on a strangely cold summer night (which seems so long ago given the weather more recently!). Sheltering down the arcade, we pulled tables together and ordered a bunch of yummy things. 

Pork curry is what I opted for. I have a not-so-secret obsession with Japanese curry! This was a huge helping across the box of rice, curry, miso and salad. I think I could have done without the salad because the veggies got strange and wilted sitting next to the steaming hot fresh curry. But I suppose it made the dish look nicer. The curry was one of the more spicy I have tasted here in Perth which is a really good thing! And it was so perfect and filling, and homey. 

The green tea was really nice and there was a constant refilling of our teapot seeing as there were so many of us seeking to rehydrate before heading home. 

I have heard exciting things about the selection of hand rolls at Is Donburi as well so I am excited to try some of them, from this cute little hole-in-the-wall japanese place.
