Warm nights on the food safari should always end with waffles. At least this is how I feel after finally sampling what Superstar Waffles has to offer.

I have been hearing about this mythical house of waffles for some time, but had never managed to actually find out where it was. 

Late-ish night cravings for sweets were well and truly rewarded by what was on offer from the superstars. I opted for a light, summery option with the strawberry fields special which had the perfect combo of fresh fruit, and sticky syrup. 

Ok so yes, I could very easily make this at home for myself. But you know what? I was not at home. I wanted to eat out. Simple food does not mean I can’t pay someone for the opportunity to be out to the house and in the presence of a good friend, in and amongst other people having a good time and feeling gnerally happy and out of the house. 

Superstar waffles is exactly the kind of place I want to see more of in Perth. Locally owned and staffed, friendly and welcoming decor encouraging me to linger and chat, food made fresh and on location, and late opening hours! The only way to see these fabulous little joints prosper and multiply is to support them with our stomachs! Something I am more than happy to do!
